Shillong Lajong forward Banlamkupar Rynjah joins India U-17 team for SAFF Championship

Shillong Lajong Football Club is excited to announce that our U-17 forward, Banlamkupar Rynjah, has been selected for the U-17 Men’s National Team

He has been an integral part of our youth team, consistently demonstrating remarkable talent and commitment. His selection for the national team is not only a proud moment for him but also for the club, as it highlights the strength and quality of our development programs.”

The India U17 men’s squad, currently training in Srinagar for the SAFF U17 Championship in Bhutan and AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Thailand, will play two friendly matches against Indonesia U17 as part of their preparations.

The matches will be played at the Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Bali, Indonesia, on August 25 and 27, 2024.

The head coach of the India U17 men’s team, Ishfaq Ahmed, has announced a 24-member squad for the tour of Indonesia.

Goalkeepers: Rohit, Aarush Hari, Suraj Singh Aheibam.

Defenders: Lekhachandra Phairembam, Mohammed Kaif, Yaipharemba Chingakham, Usham Thoungamba, Chingtham Renin Singh, Abdul Salha, Karish Soram, Jodric Abranches.

Midfielders: Banlamkupar Rynjah, Mohammad Sami, Vishal Yadav, Manbhakupar Malngiang, Mohammad Arbash, Brahmacharimayum Sumit Sharma, Ngamgouhou Mate, Ningthoukhongjam Rishi Singh, Levis Zangminlun.

Forwards: Prem Hansdak, Ahongshangbam Samson, Lairenjam Bharat, Hemneichung Lunkim.
