Shillong Lajong will face the mighty East Bengal: Hero I- League
SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC is in the city of joy and will face East Bengal in their next I-League clash on 14th February, Thursday at the Salt Lake Stadium at 5 PM.
After winning two consecutive matches against Minerva Punjab away and Churchill Brothers at home Shillong Lajong now in full confidence are ready for the Challenge against the mighty East Bengal who defeated them earlier at home.
Coach Alison said that after winning the last two matches it has given the team the much-needed confidence and he added that it’s not easy to play against East Bengal, who is one of the title contender, especially in their home turf and the players they got like Jobby Justin who can score goals for their side.
Speaking ahead of the match, East Bengal’s Spanish Head Coach, Alejandro Menendez said, “We have to respect the opponent and if we don’t respect we will lose the match because they are a good team. Lajong is doing well lately and their counter attack is also good.”
“We have to enjoy the game and get the three points”, he said.
