Show cause notice to 2 AIUDF MLAs for anti-party activities

All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Thursday said it has issued show cause notices to 2 party MLAs- Nizamuddin Choudhury (Algapur) and Suzan Uddin Laskar (Katlichera) for anti-party activities.

“Choudhury and Laskar have been asked to respond to the show cause notices within five days,” AIUDF general secretary Aminul Islam told reporters here.

Islam said Nizam Uddin Choudhury had claimed that after June 4 the AIUDF will be finished. On the other hand, Laskar had appealed to the people to vote for the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections.

“Nizamuddin appeared in a press conference with Assam Congress president Bhupen Kumar Borah at his house,” Islam said.

“Both of them were found to be involved in anti-party activities. We gave them five time for their replies/ If they do not give a satisfactory reply then the party will take disciplinary action against them,” Islam further said.

“The statement made by two MLAs will decrease the strength of AIUDF and malign the image of the party. So we have taken this decision,” he added.
