Shullai inaugurates BBHSS’ new school building
BJP legislator from South Shillong, Sanbor Shullai on Saturday inaugurated of the newly constructed school building of the Bengalee Boys Higher Secondary School, Shillong.
The MLA also officially handed over the building to the school authority during a function held at the school premises at Laban.
Addressing the inaugural function, Shullai informed that the new building of the school was constructed at a cost of Rs 1.83 crore under the human capital development project funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
He informed that the project will address the problem related to the students community especially those coming from poorer section of the society.
Others who speak on the occasion include President of the Managing School Committee, Dr SK Chattapadhyay, Principal, Dr Rinku Bhattacharjee, Vice Principal, Jona Goswami. The function was also attended by the headman Joy Rynjah, secretary Raja Lyngdoh, asst secretary Hubert Marbaniang, engineers and officials of the PWD and ADB.
All the speakers in the programme lauded the sustain effort of Shullai who have dedicated his service and tirelessly work in bringing various kinds of developmental schemes in the constituency.
