Six candidates file nominations for Sohiong seat

Six candidates filed their nominations for the Sohiong adjourned poll to be held on May 10.

The candidates who filed nominations were Samlin Malngiang from National People’s Party (NPP), Synshar Kupar Roy Lyngdoh Thabah of United Democratic Party, S Osborne Kharjana of the Congress, Sandondor Ryntathiang of the Hill State People’s Democratic Party, Seraph Eric Kharbuki of Bharatiya Janata Party and Stodingstar Thabah of the All India Trinamool Congress.

The scrutiny of the nomination papers was conducted on Friday and all papers found valid.

The withdrawal of candidatures is on April 24 and the counting will be held on May 13.
