Skill development programme concludes at State Home for Women and Children in Guwahati
The skill development programme on garments and apparel organized by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) in collaboration with the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (ASCPCR) concluded at the State Home for Women & Children at Jalukbari on Thursday.
The programme which was launched on February 27 was sponsored by the office of the Development Commissioner (MSME). 25 residents of the women and children’s home benefited from the programme.
The valedictory session was organized to mark the concluding ceremony of the programme. The inmates were awarded a certificate of completion for completing the skill development programme on garments and apparel.
The valedictory programme was chaired by retired IPS officer and ASCPCR chairperson Dr Shyamal Prasad Saikia.
Dr Lalit Sarma, Director, IIE was the chief guest of the programme. Dr Preety Lekha Deka, Deputy Secretary, Women & Child Development, Rilanjana Talukdar, Member, ASCPCR, and Dr Utpal Bayan were the guests of honour who were part of the closing ceremony.
