Social welfare minister says ready to work with MP on issues affecting the state
Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh on Thursday said he is looking forward to working together with the VPP MP from Shillong Ricky AJ Syngkon on a few issues affecting the state and the people.
Speaking to reporters, Lyngdoh said he had a fruitful meeting with Syngkon.
“The local MP had wanted us to coordinate and work together in various sectors especially in the social welfare sector (in view of) the problem that we have with high levels of drug addiction and drug trafficking and also a large number of single parent families. He had made a few valuable suggestions,” he said.
“I gave him a patience hearing and will certainly look forward to working together on a few core sectors that affect the interest of Meghalaya,” the minister stated.
