SP East Khasi Hills issues strict directives for reporting foreign visitors
The Superintendent of Police-cum-Foreigners Registration Officer, East Khasi Hills District, has issued a directive to all managers and proprietors of hotels, guest houses, lodges, rent houses, inns, and similar establishments in the district to register their user IDs for submitting reports on the online ‘C’ Form (C-FRO) system. Establishments that have not yet registered must report to the office of the Superintendent of Police-cum-Foreigners Registration Officer in Shillong to complete the registration process.
Those who have registered their user IDs are required to submit reports within 24 hours of the arrival of foreign guests in their establishments. Additionally, all concerned authorities must promptly inform the office about the stay of any foreigners.
Non-compliance with these directives will result in stringent legal action against the concerned authorities and the foreign guests, as per the provisions of the Foreigners Act, 1946.
