SSB DG Daljit Singh Chaudhary visits Guwahati Frontier headquarters
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary visited Frontier Headquarters Guwahati on May 16 and 17.
On the first day, the DG first visited the Sector Headquarters Rangia where he was welcomed by the guard of honour. Chaudhary inspected the entire office premises and reviewed the works.
In the Sainik Sammelan, Chaudhary interacted with the force personnel regarding the problems and challenges faced by them while on duty. He also planted saplings to make everyone aware of the environment.
The DG visited Daranga Bhutan Gate and there visited the border outpost of SSB located at Daranga and talked to the force personnel present there. He also visited border post Sukhanjuli and border pillar number 240/4.
Chaudhary held a Sainik Sammelan at the border outpost Daranga and participated in a dinner with all the soldiers.
On the second day, after a guard of honor at Frontier Headquarters, the DG inaugurated the 50-meter (165 Ft) high national flag in the headquarters premises. It is the second-tallest national flag of the northeastern region.
He visited the headquarters premises and reviewed the ongoing construction works. He also visited the 1st Bn SSB at Sonapur and paid tribute to the martyred soldiers.
A Sainik Sammelan was held to understand the problems/challenges of the force personnel, where he talked about the importance of performing duties, maintaining discipline and being kind to the people, and issued directions for participating in sports and adopting a healthy lifestyle.
After his two-day visit to Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati, he left for force headquarters in New Delhi on Friday.
