St. Edmund’s College inks MoA with NRL for research project
St. Edmund’s College, Shillong on Friday has inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), Assam for a research project.
The MoA was signed by Raj Mario Noronha, Secretary, Governing Body, St. Edmund’s College on behalf of the College and Ghanashyam Hazarika, General Manager on behalf of Numaligarh Refinery Limited.
Present in the signing of the MoA was Dr. Sylvanus Lamare, Principal of the College, Chiranjeev Sharma, Company Secretary, NRL, a Team from NRL and Dr. Br. Simon Coelho, IQAC, Co-ordinator, Prof. Monotosh Chakravarty and senior Faculty of the College.
The Project is for three years. With this signing, St. Edmund’s College, Shillong becomes the 3rd educational Institution to have a research project with NRL.
Dr. Sylvanus Lamare, Principal, St. Edmund’s College, Shillong in a press statement said the Research Project will be done by the Department of Biotechnology and Department of Chemistry St. Edmund’s College, under a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co- Principal Investigator (CoPI) on oil sludged in NRL.
