St. Edmund’s & St. Anthony’s the Champs of NEHU Inter College Volleyball

SHILLONG: The Sports Department of the North-Eastern Hill University organized the Inter College Volleyball (Men & Women) Tournament 2018-19 at the NEHU Permanent Campus from the 19th to 21st February 2019. Altogether 13 colleges are taken part in the tournament in both the section.

The Final match of the tournament in women section is played between St. Edmund’s College versus Union Christian College where St. Edmund’s College defeated Union Christian College by 3-0 and clinch the championship for the first time.

In the men’s section the final match of the tournament is played between St. Anthony’s College versus Union Christian College, Umiam, where St. Anthony’s College defeated Union Christian College by 3-0 and became the champion of the tournament.

The tournament ended with a closing ceremony, where Prof. S. Dkhar, Dean, School of Humanities, NEHU has graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes to the winners. Shri N, Das, Asst. Director (Sports), NEHU and Fr. Joby M Joseph, Vice-Principal, St. Anthony’s College were present among others.
