Stella Khongsngi crowned Miss Meghalaya 2023

Stella Khongsngi emerged as the shining star of the evening, claiming the coveted title of Miss Meghalaya 2023 in a dazzling grand finale at u Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong on Saturday.

Among 19 contestants from across the state, Stella’s victory was a testament to her charm, intelligence, and impeccable style. But she’s not just a pretty face; she’s a brilliant mind currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics at St. Mary’s College, Shillong.

Stella’s impressive achievements didn’t stop there; she also clinched the titles of Miss Personality and Miss Catwalk.

This year’s competition was fierce, with Sanijaijai Khyriem crowned Second Runner-Up and Lamiker Dkhar as the First Runner-Up.

In the Miss Teen Meghalaya 2023 category, the enchanting Angelina Jackson, an 18-year-old with undeniable charm, took home the crown. Angelina, a student at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, won the hearts of judges and the audience alike.

Denice Kharkongor secured the title of Second Runner-Up, while Gracie Nandy proudly claimed the First Runner-Up position.

Stella, the Miss Meghalaya Crown winner, was also awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, while Angelina, the Miss Teen, received a cheque of Rs 25,000.

Other talented young Teens who were awarded with Subtitles include: Genelia Dkhar walked away with the title of Miss Catwalk, while Palei M. Chyne dazzled as Miss Talented. Gracie Nandy, with her captivating personality, rightfully claimed the title of Miss Personality, and Denice Kharkongor was declared Miss Photogenic, proving that beauty indeed knows no bounds.

The esteemed panel of judges, including Ilasara Kharkongor, Charlee Lalthenmawia, Ketholeno Kense Vehienuo, S Marwein and James Owen Ferreira, added to the grandeur of the evening.

Both Miss Meghalaya 2023 and Miss Teen Meghalaya 2023 winners will represent the state in prominent Beauty Pageants across the Northeast and Nationally.
