Suchen with 12.46 grams of heroin arrested

The East Jaintia Hills police were on high alert on receipt of credible information that one person coming from Kalain, Assam was suspected to be carrying banned contraband and travelling to Meghalaya.

On Friday, ANTF East Jaintia Hills DEF along with Umtyra CP laid a trap and nab one person namely Lamdeibha Suchen 34 years, R/O Jowai and from him seized in the presence of independent witness 12.46 grams of heroin, one phone and cash of Rs.1890.

A case has been registered under appropriate sections of Law and investigation is on to establish further links.
