Sutnga Saipung lady legislator hammered NHAI’s officials for pathetic National Highway 6

Sutnga Saipung MLA Santa Mary Shylla directed the NHAI’s authority to immediately repair and undertake necessary measures to prevent water logging of the roads along National Highway No 6 connecting Meghalaya to Mizoram, Tripura and part of Assam and Manipur.
Shylla told the NHAI’s official during the spot inspection of the NH 6 from Lumshnong to Malidor along with officials from DC office and NHAI.
The first lady legislator from Sutnga Saipung Constituency expressed grave concern over the poor quality of the roads lying with several potholes and in highly deplorable condition in numerous locations.
Shylla issued stern warning to NHAI officials to pull up their socks else she will take up matter with the higher up of NHAI.

Earlier, Shylla conducted inspection of two PHCs namely Lumshnong and Umkiang PHC. She interacted with the staff as well as patients to comprehend problems faced by them. Several infrastructure issues were raised by the two PHCs with the MLA. She assured full cooperation and will take up the matter with the Meghalaya Government.
