Syiemlieh a nurse from Meghalaya & 50 others honoured with Nightingale Award

Victorealness Syiemlieh one amongst the many nurses of Meghalaya has been awarded as the National Florence Nightingale Award.

Syiemlieh and 50 other nurses have been selected for the prestigious award for the year 2021.

President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the year 2021 to the Nursing professionals on Monday at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The National Florence Nightingale Awards were instituted in the year 1973 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India as a mark of recognition for the meritorious services rendered by the nurses and nursing professionals to the society.

The contribution of nurses in strengthening healthcare delivery has been exemplary. These awardees will inspire young nurses and midwives in the country to work with commitment and compassion for the betterment of fellow citizens.
