Thomas Jones Synod College launched certificate course on Tally

With an aim and objective of making the students job worthy in the field of accounting and finance, the Thomas Jones Synod College, Jowai launched a year long certificate course on Tally ERP Course from Friday this week.

Sponsored by the Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS), CS Phawa Head Department Commerce of Thomas Jones Synod College informed that the certificate course on Tally ERP which is job oriented course will be free of cost for 60 students which will be split in two batch.

“Looking at the present scenario where many of the organisations both government and private institute, companies, business establishment required people having expertise skills and if our youth don’t have the skills they lost the job,” Phawa said.

She clarified that many asserted that Tally is a commerce centric subject but it is actually a software help in finance and account, inventory management, records transaction and so on.

Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla inaugurated the certificate course in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Jowai BS Sohliya, College Principal Dr. DG Lyngdoh amongst others.
