Three dacoits arrested in East Garo Hills District

In a major break through East Garo Hills police team from Songsak police station and Dagal Ogc apprehended three dacoits from Songkama village on Friday.

The dacoits of around five people waylaid non tribal traveller’s at Songkama and snatch their belongings and cash.

Police team on recieved of information launch immediate Ops and apprehended three persons viz Nengman G Momin S/o Herit A Sangma, Sengkush G Momin
S/o Behera M Sangma, Bulbirt B Momin S/o Wilsan N Sangma both of them from Gabil Bisa Rongmil while other two manage to flee from the scene taking advantage of the terrain and darkness.

The dacoity took place around 6.00 pm.

Police said few days back some people were also looted in the same manner in the same area. They suspect them to be the same gang.

The suspects are brought to Songsak PS for further investigation.
