TNT Sputnik CC and Riatsamthiah CC won their respective T20 matches: Shillong League Super Division

SHILLONG: TNT Sputnik CC and Riatsamthiah CC won their respective matches in the Shillong League Super Division T20 tournament organized by the Shillong Cricket Association at Polo Cricket ground today.

In the first match, TNT Sputnik CC played against Langsning CC. Langsning CC won the toss and they elected to bat first. Langsning batsmen could only managed to put 78/10 on the board. Larry Warjri the only batsman with top score of 20runs off 18 balls whereas the other batsmen were not upto mark. Saurav Sharma shines with the ball taking 5kts from 4 overs giving away only 19 runs and Amiangshu Sen took 2wkts from 4 overs.

In reply to the total of 78, TNT Sputnik Batsmen scored 80/2 in just 11.3 overs. Amit Singhania and Abhay Negi made 21 runs  and 20 runs facing 17 balls each while the bowlers Aiborlang  Wahlang and Wallam Marngar took 1 wkt a piece  for Langsning.

In the 2nd match, United XI won the toss and they elected to bat first. United XI batsmen put up 121/6 on the board from 20 overs. Jason Lamare complete his half century with 53 runs off 52 balls and Yogesh Tiwari made 19 off 16 balls. Praveen took 2 wkts from 4 overs and Rijied Marbaniang 1 wkt from 4 overs for Riatsamthiah.

In chasing the target set by United XI 121 runs, Riatsamthiah cross the mark scoring 125/3 in 14.3 overs. Anish Charak complete his half century of 68 runs off 35 balls not out and Ibatlang Thabah made 17 off 14 balls. Bijon Dey and Surya Rai took 1 wkt a piece from 3.2 overs and 3 overs respectively.
