Traffic arrangement for State Funeral

The East Khasi Hills District police department announced important traffic arrangement in and around Madanheh, Mawlai Phudmuri area during the State funeral of (Late) J. D. Rymbai, former Chief Minister and Speaker of Meghalaya on Saturday.

The funeral shall be attended by various dignitaries including general public.

Temporary traffic arrangement will be enforced from 11:00 AM of 23d April, 2022 till withdrawn.

NO ENTRY:

• At Jingthangbriew junction near Mother Mary statue towards Madanheh, Mawlai.
• At Phudmuri Community Hall junction towards Madanheh, Mawlai.
• At Nongpathaw junction towards the residence of (Late) J. D. Rymbai.
• At Mawdatbaki Autorickshaw stand towards Madanheh, Mawlai.
• At Phudmuri junction towards Phudmuri Presbyterian Church- Madanheh, Mawlai.
• At Dong Mali II junction towards Madanheh, Mawlai.

PARKING ARRANGEMENTS:

• One side parking at the stretch from Jingthangbriew junction upto Madanheh, Mawlai.
• One side parking at the stretch from Phudmuri Presbyterian Church upto Madanheh, Mawlai.
• Inside the premises of Shillong Polytechnic.
• Dong Mali lI junction upto Madanheh, Mawlai.
• At Forest land near Phudmuri Community Hall.

All are requested to park their vehicles at the identified parking space as
mentioned above.
