Traffic management in Sonapur Bridge needed

A major aftermath awaits as vehicles weighing over several tons are halted on the Sonapur Bridge in East Jaintia Hills District.

The repair work of the bridge completed on Tuesday’s morning. Several trucks with loads weighing hundreds of tons are halted at the bridge on Friday for a long time due to traffic jams along Sonapur Malidor Road.

There is a need of deploying traffic personnel’s to ensure that no vehicle is halted on the bridge as to avoid unnecessary burden on the bridge.
