Training for Para Legal volunteers held in Jowai
The District Legal Service Authority organised two-day training for the Para Legal Volunteers of the District in the conference room of the Superintendent of Police office, Jowai.
The aim of the training is to further enlighten the Para Legal Volunteers with the basic knowledge in Law, Legislation and welfare measures.
In the inaugural session on Thursday, Smt. B. Khriam, MJHS, District Session Judge cum Chairperson District Legal Service Authority, Jowai addressed the Para Legal Volunteers on their duties and responsibilities and to continue performing them efficiently.
Shri. B.Lyngdoh, Legal Aid Counsel, Shri. S. Changsan, Additional PP enlighten the Para Legal volunteers on the Fundamental Rights, duties and responsibilities of citizens to the community. Further they were addressed on the Basic criminal Laws, laws relating to women, laws relating to children by Shri. B.Lyngdoh, Legal Aid, Counsel.
Block Development Officer of LaskeinShri. B. Langbang, Block Development officer of Thadlaskein Block Shri. D. Lyngdoh and Smt. N. Lahuid enlightened the para legal volunteers on Government orders and schemes promoting social welfare.
The programme was presided over by Shri. D. Pakyntein, Legal Aid Counsel,Jowai. ADIPR
