Trekking event to commemorate World Kidney Day in Meghalaya

Dr. H. Gordon Roberts Hospital, Shillong In collaboration with State Nodal Agency MHIS-AB-PMJAY Govt. of Meghalaya is organizing a trekking event as part of World Kidney Day on March 9 this year.

This year’s theme of World Kidney Day is “Kidney Health for All. Advancing equitable access to care and optimal medication practice”

The route for the trekking of 16 kilometres will start from Mawphlang to Lad Mawphlang (David Scott Trail). The meeting point will be Dr H Gordon Roberts Hospital Jaiaw, Shillong.

Interested participants need to carry out pre registration mandatory as limited slots is available. They may register at www.robertshospital.com.

According to the organizers, on-site preparations will start by 5:30 AM and the Inaugural function will be held on 6:30 am.

The buses  will leave for Mawphlang at 7:00 AM and the trekking will commence from Mawphlang by 9 AM sharp. Buses will pick up participants from Lad Mawphlang and drop back to Roberts hospital.

Lunch and snacks will be provided to participants and they can requested to carry extra water and food if required.

All participants are requested to keep The Historical Trail Clean and do not Litter in any way or form.
