Trinity Saioo, Nanadro B Marak received Padma Shri Awards
President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Monday presented the prestigioys Padma Shree Awards to two citizens of the State of Meghalaya namely Trinity Saioo from West Jaintia Hills and Nanadro Marak from West Garo Hills in the field of Agriculture.
The Padma Shree o Saioo was announced last year while Nanadro B Marak was conferred Padma Shree this year 2021.
Trinity Saioo a school teacher by profession, motivated farmers to grow Lakadong variety of Turmeric in West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in his tweet said “We are proud of Smt Trinity Saioo for being conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri by the Hon’ble President for her inspiring leadership in motivating farmers in West Jaintia Hills district of #Meghalaya to grow Lakadong turmeric.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also congratulates the Meghalaya’s black pepper Farmer from WestGaroHills District, Sh. Nanadro B Marak who has been conferred with the prestigious Padma for his contribution in agriculture in the State.
