Trucks to rule the roads of Shillong city again

Due to weak and deteriorated condition of Dwar Ksuid, Umroi Bridge, and to avoid any untoward incident, all heavy loaded trucks and buses will ply through Shillong City from 29th October 2020 onwards until further orders. Only empty trucks and busses will be allowed to ply via Umroi Bridge.

Timing: Heavy vehicles will be allowed to ply through Shillong City after 9.00 PM till 5.00 AM next morning.

In this regard we would like to request all the commuters of East Khasi Hills District to strict follow traffic rules, cooperate and to drive safe, and be careful specially in the evening hours.
