Tura Civil Hospital successfully removes 2.8kg neck tumor

The Superintendent, Tura  Civil Hospital, West Garo Hills District, has informed that on 24^th May, 2024, Dr. Lee Rozer Ch Marak, MS, MCh (Paediatric Surgery) and Dr. Stevie Jaseng N Sangma, MD, Anaesthesiology of Tura Civil Hospital have successfully removed a large salivary gland neck tumour weighing 2.8 kgs (Giant Right Pleomorphic Adenoma) through surgery.

The surgery was assisted by Dr. Crejithson R Marak, Dr. Binsena R Marak, Sister Drimchira M Marak and other supporting OT staff.

The patient in his mid-20s from Tikrikilla presented with huge neck swelling on the right side and he had been suffering for the last four years. The patient was discharged on 4^th June, 2024.
