Tura MP, Agatha Sangma chairs DISHA meet at North Garo Hills
Tura MP, Agatha Sangma chairs District Development Coordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) at the Multi-Facility Hall in Gokulgre, North Garo Hills, in the presence of Chief Minister Shri. Conrad K. Sangma, MLA Rupert Momin, and other DISHA members, on April 23.
Agatha Sangma met with the heads of line departments to get an update on the current centrally funded projects. She informed the audience that the DISHA meeting, which was supposed to be held quarterly, could only be held after three years due to various constraints in previous years.
Conrad Sangma, while pressing the gathering on the meeting’s objective, stated that the meeting was important to encourage both government officials and the general public to discuss issues and provide suggestions in the process of effective scheme implementation.
MGNREGA, PMAY-G and JJM were some of the crucial schemes reviewed during the meeting.
The officials were directed to carry out proper monitoring, follow-up on the implementing schemes, and organize a special drive for the opening of bank accounts in order to make it easier for the public to take advantage of the benefits.
A review of Covid-19 vaccination was also held as part of the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by MDC, Crozier Momin, DC & Member Secretary DISHA, R P Marak, ADC, Z J Sangma and BDOs of the district.
