Two drug peddlers arrested by BSF in South West Khasi Hills
In the relentless effort against cross-border smuggling, on June 1, the BSF Meghalaya arrested two drug peddlers in the Ranikor area of South West Khasi Hills.
The arrested accused were identified as Joydeep Paul and Nabajit Sen, residents of the East Khasi Hills district.
Acting on a specific tip-off, alert troops of the 193 Bn BSF Meghalaya apprehended the drug peddlers and confiscated 2,469 Yaba tablets and 10 grams of heroin from their possession. The operation was conducted in the area under PS Ranikor, South West Khasi Hills district.
The apprehended drug peddlers, traveling in an Alto car, were intercepted by the BSF team while heading towards the border near Ranikor. The seized Yaba tablets, heroin, and the arrested drug peddlers were handed over to PS Ranikor for further legal action.
