Two Meghalaya Home Guards personnel receive President Medal

Two personnel from the Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guards organisation were awarded the prestigious Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of 74^th Independence Day Celebrations.

The first of the recipients is Sub Inspector Showel Markhap from the Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, Mawdiangdiang and the other recipient is Havildar Rajesh G Momin, an instructor in the District Home Guards Training Center in West Khasi Hills.

The duo are amongst only 7 (Seven) other recipients of this Medal from the Civil defence and Home Guards Organisation from the North East, this Independence Day.
