Two NPP MLAs appointed as Chairman under PI&E Department

In what could be termed as political appeasement for its legislators who could not be accommodated in the Council of Ministers, the MDA 2.0 Government has appointed NPP MLA of Selsella Constituency Arbinstone B. Marak as Chairman of the Meghalaya State Development Reforms Commission (SDRC) under Category A+ with effect from the date of assumption of charge and until further orders.

The appointment was issued vide notification No.PIA/SDRC/1/2023/3 Dated Shillong, the 22nd March 2023. The Commission falls under the purview of Programme Implementation & Evaluation (PI& E) Department.

The MDA 2.0 Government also appointed NPP MLA of Dalu Constituency Brenning A. Sangma, as Chairman of the State Government Programme Implementation & Monitoring Committee (SGPI&MC) under Category A+ with effect from the date of assumption of charge and until further orders.

The Committee also falls under the purview of Programme Implementation & Evaluation Department and the appointment was issued vide notification No.PIA/23/2023/3 Dated Shillong, the 22nd March 2023.
