Two residents of Lumshnong village arrested for possession of heroin

Dony Paya Mulieh and Langki Rymbai both hailing from Lumshnong village in East Jaintia Hills District were arrested for possession of heroin weighing 34.44 grams in Umkiang village on Monday.

Police said that during vehicle checking in Umkiang at around 10:00 PM, one Tata truck 1512 B/R No. AS 28 AC 1046 originating from from Kalain, Cachar Assam and heading towards Lumshnong, Meghalaya was stopped and checked.

During the checking, police recovered Heroin of 34.44gm from the possession of the two persons. Police registered Lumshnong PS Case/ No. 07(02)24 u/s 21 (b)/ 29 NDPS Act against the two persons.
