Two Training and Centre of Handicraft established in Laskein Block

With a vision to enhance their arts of making handicrafts as to boost their economy, the Aroh Foundation in collaboration with HDFC Parivartan established Training and Centre of Handicraft was established at Biar and Khliehrangnah under Laskein Block.

The two organizations had conducted a month long training in the two villages, which conluded on Monday.

A groups of farmers from each villages was benefitted from the one month training programme as well a support of Material and Equipment like Knife, Sharpening stone, Cane, Plastic Strap, Saw etc.which related to Handicraft work.

The beneficiaries from these two villages are being registered for Artisan Card of Handicraft.

The Foundation also registered the Kyntiew Ia Lawei Handicraft Cooperative Societies Ltd
The Aroh Foundation under the Incharge of Livelihood Expert Mr. Kitboklang Pasi has work on market linkage so that their product will be solely selling in the market.
