Tynsong says NPP to win in both ADCs
National People’s Party (NPP) state president and deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong on Friday expressed confidence that his party will win the elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC).
After casting his vote at Pynursla, Tynsong said, “As leaders of the party, we have toured across the Khasi and Jaintia Hills region and we have seen there is hope in each and every constituency barring few where we are giving a tough fight. Therefore, we are confident that we will win the elections in both these ADCs.”
“The NPP is committed to serve the people and the state through the three ADCs if the people give their mandate,” he added.
Asked, Tynsong said that the party has visited almost every village highlighting the various developments and the importance of having MDCs to assist the government to bring all round development to every constituency and to further strengthen the ADCs for the protection of the indigenous community.
Tynsong, who is five-time legislator of Pynursla constituency also expressed confidence that his nephew and candidate from Langkyrdem-Laitkroh Rahboklang Tynsong and sitting MDC from Nongshken Grace Mary Kharpuri will come out victorious in the election.
