Tynsong terms allegation of issuing false negative report ‘baseless’
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Tuesday said there is no question of manipulation in the COVID-19 test report at the Umling entry point as the government has made RT-PCR test mandatory for all entrants to the state.
Speaking to reporters, Tynsong said that the allegation made by few concerned stakeholders that a false negative test report (of RAT) was issued at the Umling entry point is totally wrong.
He said the government had of course took cognizance of the allegation as there will be no smoke without fire.
“This allegation is totally wrong. (But after the allegation), the government has decided that only RT-PCR test will be conducted on all entrants to the state,” Tynsong said while adding that the question of manipulation therefore, does not arise at all.
“I appeal to those people who alleged and are trying to create confusion among the citizens of the state that they should not don’t make unnecessary allegations,” he added.
