UDP urges CM to take up ILP, other issues with HM
The United Democratic Party (UDP) has urged the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma to take up with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for implementation of the Inner Line Permit and other issues.
In a letter to Sangma, UDP president and Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh reminded the discussion had with the CM on behalf of the party UDP and also RDA on the issue of Inner Line Permit, inter-state boundary with Assam, inclusion of the Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule and also amendment of the Sixth Schedule.
“As we are on the same page, I would like to urge you to kindly take up the matters raised with the Union home minister,” he said.
Lyngdoh also informed that the UDP will also be submitting a memorandum to the home minister on the above issues.
