Umpling Bridge open for traffic

Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed 24.75M two lane bridge at Umpling constructed under CRF (2018-19) in the presence of MLAs Pyniaid S Syiem, Charles Pyngrope, A L Hek, dignitaries from the PWD department and members of the Dorbar Shnong among others.

The bridge has been opened for vehicular traffic from Thursday.

The capacity of the bridge is 70 metric tons and the total project is Rs 5 crore.
