Umwai sub-centre to be made operational soon

Minister in-charge Health & Family Welfare Alexander Laloo Hek on Friday informed that the construction of the Umwai sub-centre in East Khasi Hills district has been completed.

Shella legislator Balajied Kupar Synrem however expressed concern to see the sub centre’s door always remain closed whenever he  pases through the area as it is yet to be made operational.

In his reply, Hek said that after the construction of the building was completed, the department has written to the PHE and MeECL for water and electricity connection respectively.
