United XI & Young Guns emerged victorious in T20 Shillong League

SHILLONG: United XI and Young Guns emerged victorious in their respective matches today in the Shillong League Super Division T20 Tournament 2019 of the Shillong Cricket Association at Polo cricket ground.

In the first match, the toss was won by United XI and they elected to field first. Sumer CC put up a humble score of just 104/10 in 19.2 0vers. Robin Chetri made 22 runs off 20 balls and Binay Kumar made 25runs off 18 balls. The pick of the bowlers for United XI was Bijon Dey taking 4 wkts from 4 overs giving away 25 runs and Kishan Lyngdoh took 2 wkts from 4 overs giving away only 10 runs.

In reply to the target of 104, United XI chased the target in just 16.2 overs losing 3 wkts. Rohit Sah and Ebormi Rngad made 34 and 17 runs facing 27 balls each while Binay Kumar of Sumer CC pick 2wkts from 4 overs. United XI won the match by 7 wkts.

In the second match, Langsning faced Young Guns where Langsning won the toss and elected to bat first. Langsning set up a score of 123/8 from 20 overs. Top scorers of the inning was Larry Warjri  hitting 36  runs off  30 balls and Sanvert Kurkalang hit 27 runs off 21 balls. Rahul Shah and Neeraj Rana took 2wkts each from 4 overs.

Young Guns chased the score of 123 in 19.5 overs losing 5 wkts. Sameer Thapa made 35 runs off 30 balls and Sameer Qureshi made 22 runs off 23 balls. Prolin Phanjon statistics were 4.0 overs 22 runs 4 wkts and Sanvert Kurkalang 4.0 overs 21 runs 2 wkts.  Young Guns won by 5 wkts.
