UP minister invites people of Assam, NE to join historic Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025
Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of Stamp and Court Fee, Registration, Ravindra Jaiswal, conducted an outreach event in Guwahati on Tuesday to promote the upcoming Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025. Highlighting its grandeur and spiritual significance, Jaiswal extended an invitation to the people of Assam and the Northeast to be part of this historic event.
Scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025, the Mahakumbh will take place on the confluence of the sacred Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj, a UNESCO-recognized heritage site.
Jaiswal described the Mahakumbh as a symbol of India’s cultural and spiritual unity, with global recognition as one of the largest peaceful gatherings on Earth.
The 2025 edition is expected to surpass the scale of the 2019 Mahakumbh, with over 450 million pilgrims, saints, and tourists projected to attend.
The event is themed “Swachh, Swasth, Surakshit, and Harit Mahakumbh” (Clean, Healthy, Safe, and Green), with key initiatives including aplastic-free environment and the plantation of three lakh trees, eco-friendly practices throughout the festival.
Integration of cutting-edge technology to ensure smooth operations, including QR-based passes for secure entry AI-powered crowd management systems and RFID wristbands for pilgrim tracking.
A user-friendly mobile app and website for event information and navigation.
Features like smart parking, healthcare facilities with specialized care units, and a state-of-the-art Integrated Control Command Center for real-time monitoring of logistics and safety measures.
A newly developed riverfront modelled after Mumbai’s Marine Drive, adds to the visual splendour of the sacred event.
Organized under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Mahakumbh aims to present India’s cultural and spiritual heritage on a global stage.
The Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025 promises to be a transformative experience, blending tradition with innovation and drawing participants from across India and the world.
