Upgradation of sub-centres under examination: Tynsong

Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Health and Family Welfare Prestone Tynsong has informedthat the plan to upgrade the Mawpud Sub-Centre into a Public Health Centre is under examination. 

He was replying to a query raised by UDP legislator from Ranikor constituency Pius Marwein during the Assembly held on Tuesday. 

Tynsong also assured that once the detailed examination is being done by the government, sanction will be accorded. 

When the Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma wanted to know the numbers of sub centres and dispensaries being proposed for upgradation, the Deputy Chief Minister said there are over 450 sub centres across the state and the matter is under examination by the government.

According to him, massive investigation is needed before considering the upgradation of these sub centres and dispensaries.
