USTM collaborates with Catholic University Mozambique to hold ICIMST-2024

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), in collaboration with the Catholic University of Mozambique, inaugurated the 3rd International Conference on Innovation in Management, Science, and Technology (ICIMST-2024) on Friday. This two-day conference will conclude on Saturday, bringing together participants from academic and research institutions worldwide.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Prof. Sushanta Karmakar from IIT Guwahati’s Department of Computer Science, emphasized the importance of innovation in research and the crucial role that interdisciplinary collaboration plays in advancing knowledge.

A notable moment at the ceremony was the official release of a book documenting the proceedings from the 2nd International Conference on Innovation in Management, Science, and Technology, and Automation in Sports. This publication captures the key research and discussions from the previous conference, offering a valuable resource for scholars and researchers in these fields.

In his address as the guest of honour, Prof. Doutor Nelson Amade, Vice-Reitor of the Catholic University of Mozambique, underscored the international relevance of the conference and the strengthening collaborations between global institutions. Maiden Alfinete, also from the Catholic University of Mozambique, was among the distinguished guests in attendance.

Over 70 research papers will be presented across multiple parallel sessions throughout the two-day event. These sessions are chaired by esteemed dignitaries from renowned institutions, including NIT Rourkela, Chandigarh University, Guwahati University, Cotton University, Shah Jalal University of Science and Technology (Bangladesh), and Excel Engineering College, Tamil Nadu.

Following the inauguration, attendees participated in a workshop titled “Advanced Research Methodology: Its Key Concepts and Roles in Research,” which provided valuable insights into research methodologies and key concepts to enrich participants’ research acumen. This workshop set a strong academic tone for the conference, which aims to serve as an international platform for sharing innovative ideas and contributions in management, science, and technology.
