The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday sought the intervention of the Governor Satya Pal Malik into the atrocities against the Hindus in Bangladesh.
In a memorandum submitted to Malik, VHP Shillong president Krishan Kr Sharma said, “We appeal to immediately issue condemnation of this cycle of violence against the Hindus and other minorities of Bangladesh and allow a delegation from Govt of India to Bangladesh.”
“We are also requesting the Bangladesh government to take strict action against the culprit and give protection to minority people. The VHP also appeals to the UNO to play its proactive role in preventing atrocities on Hindus,” he also said.
Sharma said the attacks of Jihadis on Hindus in Bangladesh are increasing doggedly. He added that after the destruction of Hindu shrine/temple, Puja pandals Hindu families are now frequently under attack.
Incidents of anti Hindu violence in Bangladesh during Durga puja alone have been reported from more than 22 districts.
