Victory rally after declaration of result prohibited till Friday

The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer West Jaintia Hills District has prohibited victory Procession/Rallies after the declaration of Results of the General Election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly 2023 in West Jaintia Hills District till 4:00 PM of 4th March, 2023.

According to an order issued on Tuesday, no Public gathering outside the counting venue shall be allowed during the process of counting.

Sloganeering of any kind shall not be allowed within the premises of the counting centres till completion of counting of votes and the declaration of results.

Used of PA System/Loud Speaker and celebration by any Political Parties or Candidates shall not be allowed within the premises of the counting venue.

Only persons with valid ID card/ Car pass issued by the District Election Officer, West Jainita Hills District Shall be allowed to enter the Premises.

Further Mobile Phones and Cameras shall not be allowed to be carried inside the counting hall.

The entire counting centre, is a strict No Smoking Zone.
