Vigilance Team to Check Illegal activities for Myntdu River

The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District on Thursday informed that the Vigilance Team to check illegal activities as per the NGT order for Myntdu River has been constituted with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Jowai as the Team leader.

Others include the Superintendent of Police, Jowai/Representative, Executive Engineer, Urban Affairs Department, Jowai, Chief Executive Officer, Jowai Municipal Board, Representatives of Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, Representatives of Divisional Forest Officer (Territorial), Jowai, Present/Secretary Synjuk Ki Waheh Shnong Jowai Urban, President Secretary ka Khooid Ya ka Wah Myntdu as Members.

It further states that the Vigilance Team shall conduct regular inspection to check any illegal activities and submit a report to the Deputy Commissioner/ District Magistrate for taking up appropriate action as per law.
