Vincent H Pala appointed as new Meghalaya PCC chief
Congress MP from Shillong Vincent H Pala has been appointed as the new president of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC).
Informing this on Wednesday, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said, “The Congress President has appointed Vincent H Pala, MP as the President of the MPCC with immediate effect.”
He informed that the Congress President has also appointed two MLAs – Ampareen Lyngdoh and Marthon Sangma as working presidents of the party.
James Lyngdoh will also continue as working president.
Venugopal said the party appreciates the contributions of outgoing PCC president Dr Celestine Lyngdoh.
He added that Ampareen Lyngdoh is also relieved from her current post as AICC secretary.
