VPP urges public not to cause law and order problem
The Voice of the People Party (VPP) on Thursday appealed to the public not to cause any law and order problem while showing their support to the MLAs of the party while submitting a petition to the state government on Friday.
In a statement issued here, VPP spokesperson Dr Batskhem Myrboh said that the MLAs of the VPP will be submitting the petition to the state government to put on hold the recruitment process in the state during the pendency of the review of the job reservation policy and the roster system at 2 pm on Friday.
The MLAs will be at the parking lot near the Additional Secretariat by 1 pm.
“The members of the public who wish to show their support to our MLAs are strongly requested to be calm, peaceful and not to cause any law and order problem. Those who create any disturbance shall be solely responsible for their own action,” Dr Myrboh said.
“Also, the public are strongly advised to remain focused on the objective that is to put pressure on the government to get the matter redressed. The struggle is absolutely not against any person or any community and should refrain from any communal hatred,” he added.
