‘We are all one’: Assam Governor inspires students, applauds Assam Rifles’ unity mission
Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya delivered an inspiring message of unity, patriotism, and perseverance as he interacted with a contingent of 30 girl students from Arunachal University, Namsai, at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati on Saturday.
The students were part of the National Integration Tour (NIT) organized by Assam Rifles, aimed at fostering national cohesion and cultural understanding.
Commending the Assam Rifles for this initiative, Acharya emphasized the transformative power of such exposure tours, urging students to use their experiences to contribute to nation-building. He reiterated the global philosophy of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” and India’s vision of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, which celebrates unity in diversity.
Highlighting India’s rich cultural tapestry, Acharya encouraged students to respect and embrace linguistic and cultural diversity. He advised them to learn local languages to foster deeper connections with different communities, reinforcing the idea that “We are all one.”
Shifting focus to education, the Governor motivated the students to pursue their dreams with hard work, determination, and discipline. He urged them to read inspirational biographies to learn from great personalities and develop a mindset of perseverance.
“Aim high and work tirelessly to achieve your goals,” he advised, stressing that knowledge and dedication are the stepping stones to success.
Praising the 11 Assam Rifles and HQ 25 Sector Assam Rifles/HQ IGAR (N) for organizing the National Integration Tour, Acharya acknowledged their role in instilling patriotism and national unity among the youth. He emphasized that such programs bridge cultural gaps, strengthen bonds, and inspire young minds to contribute to the nation.
