Webinar on crimes against women & children held in Shillong

A webinar on Crime against Women and Children was organized by the Home (Police) Department on Thursday.

Police officials dealing with crimes against women and children attended the webinar, which was inaugurated by the Additional Director General of Police (CID/SB), H Nongpluh.

The webinar was also held in pursuance of the observations made by the Assembly Committee on Women Empowerment.

The panel had directed the investigation agency and other line departments involve in the prosecution of cases against women and children to deliberate at length regarding the statutory legal procedures which will ensure delivery of justice to the victims.
