West Jaintia Hills District gears up for Inter-School Athletic Meet 2024
The District Sports Officer of West Jaintia Hills District is set to host the District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet, 2024 at Kiang Nangbah Stadium, Jowai from May 1st to May 3rd, 2024. This event welcomes participation from boys and girls in the Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 age groups residing in the West Jaintia Hills District.
Below are the age cutoffs for each category:
- Under-14 Age Group: Born between November 30, 2010 and November 30, 2012.
- Under-16 Age Group: Born between November 30, 2008 and November 30, 2010.
- Under-18 Age Group: Born between November 30, 2006 and November 30, 2008.
Entries must be submitted by April 18, 2024. Athlete screenings will take place on April 22, 2024, at Kiang Nangbah Indoor Stadium, Jowai, from 9 am to 4 pm. Additionally, there will be a meeting with teachers, representatives, and school officials on April 25, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the office of the undersigned.
Schools interested in participating can obtain entry forms during office hours from the District Sports Officer’s office. Athletes are required to bring their original Aadhaar Card, Birth Certificate, and a copy of their Birth Certificate from the C.E.O Municipal/CHC/PHC on the Screening Date.
No new player enrollments will be accepted after the screening. Each athlete must also provide a passport-sized photograph along with their form.
Submission of Aadhaar card, Birth Certificate, and, if applicable, AFI-UID registration is mandatory for all participants for age verification.
