Will CM accedes to JHADC demand for Border Outpost in Mukroh’s Zero Point?
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Saturday categorically maintained “Mukroh is within the jurisdiction of Meghalaya and it is not a disputed area either under Block-I or Khanduli Psiar Sector.”
Exactly four days after Sangma’s assertive statement, the NPP led Executive Committee in the JHADC demanded the setting up of the Meghalaya Police Border Outpost in the Mootha Siang Kwai, Mukroh.
The JHADC’s Executive Committee led by Chief Executive Member Thombor Shiwat paid a visit to Mukroh village under Mowkaiaw Assembly Constituency on Tuesday.
Thombor Shiwat and his Executive Members was led to Mootha Siang Kwai by the Secretary Shnong of Mukroh and local residents.
After contending themselves with the documents available with the Dorbar Shnong Mukroh, Shiwat said that Mukroh village is cent percent within the ambit of the JHADC and they will defend the territory of Mukroh at all cost.
“We demand the Border Outpost to be set up at Mootha Siang Kwai,” said the MDC from Nartiang Umladang Constituency.
Mootha Siang Kwai is the boundary point of Mukroh village and the Elaka Labang Nongphyllut, according to the local residents of Mukroh.
They also want the Meghalaya Govt to remove the Assam Beat House, Forest Department in Khlieh Sonaro, Mukroh.
