Woman admitted in NEIGRIHMS tests positive for COVID-19

A woman admitted at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), was tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, taking the number of active cases in the state to 30. 

“One high Risk contact of a positive patient has tested positive for COVID19 in Shillong. Person is under medical supervision. Total Active Cases 30, Total Recovered cases 13,”Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said in his Twitter handle. 

Meanwhile official sources informed that the woman, who was pregnant, had gone to NEIGRIHMS for delivery. 

They said that she and her husband have returned from Delhi recently. Her husband was also tested positive for coronavirus.
